💸refund & cancellation policy

Short, because it's simple. Last updated: September 2026.

$ refunds

If heraldQ isn't working for you, email dylan@heraldq.com within 14 days of any charge and we will refund it in full via Paddle, our merchant of record. No conditions — though we'd love to know what went wrong so we can fix it.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method by Paddle, typically within 5–10 business days of approval.

$ cancellation

Cancel any time, no notice period:

• From any Paddle receipt email, or the Paddle customer portal link in it — the same place you update your payment method.
• Your API key keeps working to the end of the paid period. Nothing renews after that.
• No cancellation fees, ever.

$ what you keep after cancelling

Your account remains on the free tier (5,000 webhooks/month), so your integration keeps working — just at free-tier limits and retention. Your data ages out per the retention schedule like always. You can re-subscribe at any time; your key and HMAC secret don't change.
