heraldQ is an outbound webhook delivery service: you hand us a payload and a destination, and we deliver it with retries, signing, a dead-letter queue, and delivery history. Delivery is at-least-once: a destination that responds slowly or erroneously may receive a request more than once — receivers should verify our HMAC signatures and treat deliveries idempotently. Your plan's quotas, rate limits, and retention windows are the ones published on the pricing page.
Sign-up requires a name and email. You are responsible for your API key and HMAC secret — both are shown once, and rotating your key (see the docs) invalidates the previous one immediately. Keep your credentials out of source control; if they leak, rotate.
All payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle is the legal seller of your subscription; prices are in USD and Paddle handles VAT/sales tax worldwide. Purchases are also governed by Paddle's buyer terms, available at checkout.
dylan@heraldq.com within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it in full via Paddle. We'd rather fix your problem, but the refund is unconditional within that window.429 until you upgrade or the month rolls over. Nothing is silently dropped.Don't use heraldQ to send unlawful content, to attack or probe systems you don't operate, or in a way that degrades the service for others (including deliberately exceeding documented rate limits). We may suspend accounts that do, with notice where practical.
We retry failed deliveries on an exponential backoff for roughly 34 hours across 15 attempts; whatever never lands parks in your dead-letter queue for replay. We do not guarantee delivery to destinations that are unreachable, misconfigured, or that reject valid requests — we guarantee the effort, the transparency, and the records.
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.
You may stop using heraldQ and cancel any subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms or for abuse, with notice where practical. On termination, delivery records age out per your plan's retention; account data is deleted on request.
We may change the service and these terms. Material changes are emailed to account holders before they take effect. Continued use after that is acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
